UPA Night Portraiture Photography Workshop

This workshop will focus on night-based street portraiture around the London Bridge area. After an initial briefing about approaches to photographing people at night, we will walk around the area and create images using 'natural' street light and flash. Please bring a digital camera, flash (if you have one), water-proof walking clothes and comfortable shoes. The tutor will demonstrate ways to approache people in the street, movement, environment, exposure and light.
 

About the tutor:

Paul Halliday is a photographer, film-maker and urbanist based at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he is course leader of the MA Photography and Urban Cultures. He is a member of UPA - the Urban Photographers' Association, and creative director of UrbanPhotoFest. His photographic work focuses on people, landscapes and things in urban spaces.

Particpants Need: A digital camera, flash (if you have one), water-proof walking clothes and comfortable shoes.
